Basse Sammeh Man Missing

Muhammed Camara who hails from Basse Sammeh in Upper River Region (URR) and lives with a friend in Bundung in the Kanifing Municipality is reported to have been missing for years by his family.

This reporter ran into this story when the beloved sister offered to visit the Foroyaa Newspaper to report this incident. “He has gone missing since the year 2006 and he was commonly known as a petty businessman in the Serrekunda Market,” she said. The sister reported that she could not really confirm as to how and her brother has gone missing for this long period.

She said upon initially receiving the information regarding their brother, they have made frantic efforts by visiting various police stations in an around the Kanifing Municipality in search of him but to no avail. The aggrieved sister who wished not be named indicated that Muhammed Camara is a quiet and thoughtful man who dislikes trouble and always appears peaceful. The concerned sister finally urged those who might be responsible for his disappearance to at least reconsider releasing him as he is a bread winner of the Family.

Addressing the issue, the Police Public Relation Officer ASP Yerro Mballow, said the information regarding Muhammed Camara is not yet on his desk, adding that he was unfortunate to be the PRO at time of his disappearance. Any positive news about him will be carried out to the press, he added.
